Absolutely great place to stay if you’re traveling with a dog! The fenced backyard leads right to the water, giving them plenty of space to play and explore. The location in the harbor is fantastic, and having a convenient place to park our jet skis made the stay even better. Even room to fish in the canal from the backyard. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a little hiccup when checking in, but I can’t speak highly enough about the Staff of Emerald rentals. They handled the situation fabulously. The red hot retreat is one of the best places we have stayed in Destin and we have stayed at several. The only thing that we desired was a second shower. There is an outdoor shower however , I would recommend to build something small around it to make it a little more private, so it can also be utilized like a regular shower. The outdoor space and the sunroom provide the most amazing space to hang out and create memories. It is unlike any other spot I have seen. Hands down one of the best places. There is a foul odor that comes out of the shower drain that really was harsh by the end of our trip I believe that could be worked on to make the experience better but overall the best place we have been and will definitely go back.

Pictures don’t do it justice. A lot nicer than expected and the view was amazing. About 10 minutes from crab island and water attractions so that was great. There is a small walk to the beach but it wasn’t too bad ,could be a hassle with small children or older family members. The only thing that I would say is that the connecting room to the back porch did have a dog smell and the couches out there had dog hair on them. Other than that everything was nice and clean. We would definitely book again!

This place was so beautiful and comfortable! Everything about it was amazing! The place is set up perfectly to meet everything anyone would need for a relaxing and peaceful vacay! From the comfort of having two super cozy living spaces to the most comfortable beds! It was so cozy! And the backyard gas fire pit with the view of the most beautiful waters topped it all! We brought kayaks and fished all through up the canal and out in the pass! We caught redfish, catfish and seen big drums! It’s paradise! 💕

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The location couldn’t have been better, it was right on the harbor, offering stunning views of the water that were absolutely breathtaking. Every morning, I woke up to the peaceful sight of the harbor and, on a couple of occasions, got to see dolphins swimming by! It was such a magical experience.

We were pleasantly surprised with this place. The fenced in patio was great for the dogs and I felt safe with them there. There is a watertaxi that will come right to your beach front door and you are literally a few minutes from everything. The townhouse has been remodeled beautifully! We had an amazing time at the house. We took our boat and the location is very close to crab island. Every morning my kids were outside with the fishing rod trying to catch some fish 🐟. This place is great. Super clean. Had all amenities that you could need throughout the home. This home is a home for rent. Not a place that was purchased TO rent and it’s noticeable. Everything is well thought out such as a hose at the fence for our boat and waverunners, a hose at the back door to clean the pups and sand off of everything before entering and mats on the sand and entry points to keep the home and living areas clean of sand. The outdoor furniture on balcony and outback is superb quality and super comfortable. All furniture is new and also very comfortable. We will rent here next year for sure. It is also really close to Harbor walk via water but far enough in slew that no wake ever moves the water toys.

I will say that the stairs are a little steep and narrow so plan accordingly. We limited our time upstairs with the kids so there wasn’t any reason to go up there during the day

We had the pleasure of staying at Red Hot Retreat for three weeks recently and enjoyed it tremendously. This townhouse is in a fabulous location, right on an inlet of the harbor, with a great view of the boats, water fowl, and the bridge in the distance. The patio is big, on three levels, with lots of high end patio furniture, a fire pit, and a couple of grills. A great place to sit out and have lunch on a sunny day in February. Plus the patio is fenced in so if you have a doggie, as we did, you don't have worry about them getting away. Inside, the property is very well equipped with high end kitchen appliances and every bit of cookware you could need. There are four good size TVs and a high capacity washer and dryer. A comfortable king bed is in the primary bedroom with a balcony and chairs with more great views of the inlet. The only downside to the property is that there are no dressers in the bedrooms so if you are staying awhile it become a little inconvenient to live out of your suitcase....although there are a number of luggage racks to set them on. We would gladly book another stay at Red Hot Retreat.

We loved our stay at the Red Hot Retreat. It is located just minutes from everything, but is secluded enough to give you quiet and serenity if that's what you're looking for. There are multiple beach entrances within walking distanced, so no hassles in loading the car and hoping for a parking spot at the beach. Just throw on the flip-flops and you are there in no time. The RHR is beautiful! So spacious, but with every amenity you would ever need. From the comfy living room area, to the porch area with its own AC unit, to the back area with the bar, gliders, and fire pit. And best of all it's fenced in, and has an area for doggie relief. And the view from there is amazing. That view carries over to the upstairs master bedroom. Listening to the water as we slept at night, in a king bed that was super comfortable. And nothing beat waking up in the morning and walking out onto the upper deck area to take in the sights and sounds. I could write so much more, but hit character limit.

Red hot retreat, was a beautiful property in a great location with plenty of room and a beautiful view of the bay…the home was beautiful and clean… There is a lot of walking too the nearest local beach but well worth it… Only thing I would change is, I believe I counted 7 cameras on a small property (front and back yard, bedroom balcony) which I felt was a little much/less privacy ..… other than that defiantly recommend this home

Beautiful and serene townhome ... Loved the location, convenient to everything, great walking neighborhood with gated Gulf beach access. The photos are very accurate and up to date, the unit was immaculate and kitchen well equipped. Enjoyed the place over the holiday with family ~ especially the fire pit overlooking the H20, the Florida room (great for the pups) and large master suite balconey. Two gas fireplaces were a bonus especially since we experienced the less than welcoming arctic blast while in Destin, but the sun was always shining, and well, we were in Destin. Had a bit of a snafu with the hot water due to the freeze conditions, but ECVR and the property owner was extremely accommodating and responsive with repairs. Everyone was welcoming and very friendly. Will be returning and recommending. Thank you to all who made this an extra special staycation!

This was a perfect spot for our girls trip. We absolutely love the back yard and beach access. The only downside was I had a package shipped to me there and it was put into a lock box and I did not have a great time with communication with the property management to get it opened. 08/12-14/2022 We had a very nice stay, My husband and I picked this Condo for a short stay for my mom to enjoy a reuniting visit with one of her very best female friends that she hasn’t been able to visit in over 10 yrs. We enjoyed the beach, restaurants and fishing not only off the deck in the back area behind the condo but In The bay as well. Location was very nice, Quiet area, pet friendly. The pictures of the condo were exactly how it looked in person during our stay very nice!! Location stocked with more possibly needed household items than u could need. Very nice!! The back outside fenced in area was nice for relaxing early morning and evening the fire pit was nice to sit around at night. The Harbor is literally just a few steps away from the fenced in back seating area. There are some cute ducks that you can feed that roam the back area by the harbor. The view from the master bedroom is beautiful at night during the day and at sunset with the balcony right off of it. We had our Fur baby Pebbles (Rat terrier ) with us on this short trip she enjoyed herself she wasn’t too sure about the stairs from first to second floor But quickly got the hang of them. Great place to stay with a beautiful, clean interior exactly as pictured. Nice, quiet beach and walking trails nearby along with plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping areas conveniently located too. I would stay here again!

The Property was absolutely beautiful! When we first arrived it was so cute that the walkway was lined with beautiful bright lights. The property was super clean. This weekend was a romantic getaway and this property checked every box…. From the amazing Master bedroom and view to the amazing back yard with the fire pit and view. It was just so many beautiful spaces within this property. Also, we were close to everything. A must try is Louisiana Lagniappe Restaurant and it’s only 4 to 5 minutes away from the home. You will not be disappointed… book it!

We had an amazing time!! Loved being able to beach our boat and the location was so close to the boardwalk and crab island! The outdoor space was so relaxing, and a great view of the seasonal firework show! We will be back!

We had a wonderful time. The home is beautifully decorated with so much to offer. The back has a large patio with a fire Pitt and a great view of the water. It was fenced in and had a doggie door for our two dogs to come in and out as they pleased. My husband watched the NBA final game on the big screen TV in the sunroom. I had my morning coffee off the balcony in the master bedroom as I watched the sunrise over the water. All in all we had a great experience. We will be back.

This place was nothing short of AMAZING! We had an amazing time staying at our home away from home. Everything was as pictured and it was all fantastic. The screened in patio and backyard/patio are was AMAZING! We loved sitting out back and watching the water in the bay, enjoying the sun. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Bed was super comfortable and the shower was awesome! If you're thinking about staying then you definitely should get it booked!

Hands down perfect for the peaceful getaway!! The home and all the amenities and being right at the water was everything! My hubs and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary and never even left we were just blown away with the layout, amenities, setup, design of the entire property!! It was clean and just perfect for a couple or two!! We will be back! This is now our favorite!! And that’s it!!

This property is exactly as pictured. My son loved the over size TV and all the stations. The outside patio, including the firepit and view, was my highlight. We had dinner on that patio every night and enoyed the fire at night. The kitchen was well stocked and enjoyed all the extra's in the home. The only suggestion I have is an upgrade on the master bed, it was hard. We will stay here again.

House was as described. Only issue I would say is the staircase may be hard to navigate for older individuals. Loved the views, the outside porch area is awesome & boys liked they could fish right outside the back yard area. Would definitely book again & recommend. 💙

This place was so neat! It was perfect for our social distanced vacation. We barely saw anyone. No next door neighbors and it was like we had the whole area to ourselves. Private patio with amazing fire pit. We even saw a dolphin pop up 5 feet off the dock. So neat! Lots of living space inside with modern touches. There were great gas fireplaces inside which were essential during the super cold week it was. My kids had so much fun playing in the sand and water off the patio. We would definitely stay here again!

Such an AWESOME airbnb right on the harbour! Morning coffee on the back deck feeding the ducks was amazing. Nightime fire pit and outside grill make for a wonderful evening. The entire place had beautiful accents and made for a wonderful stay. I have already booked again for next month! So fun!!!

5 Stars!! The view is incredible, outdoor space is perfect for hanging out. Location is walking distance to the beach but in a low traffic area. The place is clean, nicely furnished, with well a equipped kitchen. Would book again if ever in the area.
