Beaches and Birdies

The place looked exactly like it did in the photos. The community has a couple of swimming pools, which was a nice touch. The beach was just 0.7 miles away from the house, which was perfect for us. Our group enjoyed taking daily walks to the beach and back. However, if you have people with mobility issues or small children’s you might want to consider renting a golf cart.

This home is in an excellent location and the community was really nice. The two pool areas were clean and well-equipped. The beach was easily within walking distance along with some restaurants and shops. The home was pretty comfortable and provided all of the necessities.

Great kitchen amenities for our Thanksgiving dinner. We would recommend for any larger family looking for a spot around the 30a area!

Emerald Coast was very helpful throughout the whole process of booking until check in. They let us know when the house was ready on check in day and even let us in a little early! How nice! That never happens these days. They were easy to communicate with and very friendly. The house was very nice and clean. Plenty of room for us all. I love that it is pet friendly so my little dog could come. The neighborhood is great and there are plenty of yummy restaurants close by. We would book here again for sure!

This is our second stay at this property (2 years in between). We like this place because of its location. The furniture is not cheap looking. Good communications with the property manager. They could use some quality knives but I guess people steal them. No spices or condiments. We used the community pool a lot more during this stay and found it very relaxing and refreshing despite the heat. We had to rent a golf cart here. Some other properties we've stayed at include a cart which is pretty much a necessity for getting around. Overall, a nice property that is comfortable and familiar.

Great house & location. We love Old Florida Village so much! This was our 4th stay in this Community. Always try a different house based on how many we bring. Very easily walkable, bikeable, or golf cart accessible to beach & other local attractions & restaurants. House had everything we needed and more. 4/3 layout with 1 bedroom and bath downstairs was perfect. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Everything was really good, I would stay again. There is an AC downstairs and different unit upstairs, so setting different temps was nice, and it cools down really good. Really modern well kept up place. Things I wished were better: The outside doors open to the outside, without any deadbolt, thus felt the security is compromised somewhat. Washer/Dryer are downstairs between living room and kitchen and really loud.

This was our second VRBO stay in Santa Rosa, first time at this unit. Easy check in. Comfortable although there's not much of a backyard so we sat outside on the drive when we grilled or played corn hole. Very pleasant neighborhood with mostly other short term rentals. Nice pool albeit pretty dark at night. Easy short walk to the beach. Dining and shopping also within walking distance. I'd say the best part of our experience was the property manager who responded immediately to our messages..

We loved this house! We rented a gift cart to help carry kids and items to the beach. We were there in less than 5 mins. The house has recently been painted. The outside looks different than the picture (just fresh /new paint color). House was very welcoming and comfortable. Also, it was close to a Walmart for needed supplies and groceries. Destin was far enough it wasn’t super busy but also close enough to enjoy some adventures there. Definitely would stay here again.

I would highly recommend this property. It truly over delivered on our expectations. The beds was comfortable, and the property is updated and extremely clean. The neighborhood was a very private community with gates to enter it. It was very quiet and relaxing. The community also offered three nice private pools. Highly recommend this property.

Great house and amazing location. Rob was great and always responded back quickly answering all my questions in the NUMEROUS messages I bombarded him with prior to our stay. House was clean and had all the towels/linens, toiletries and dishware we needed, plus a washer and dryer which were a huge plus. Highly recommend!!

We loved this rental. It was perfect for our family and in laws. We used the gear credit for some bikes and then brought the kids bikes. They loved being able to ride near the house. It's towards the back do the neighborhood, which was great because there was not a lot of traffic. We were a quick bike ride or golf cart ride to the beach access and restaurants. The property manager was wonderful and responded very quickly. Checkin was so easy. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Beaches and Birdies and absolutely plan to come back! We normally stay in PCB at a resort, but had to cancel this year due to Covid. This home felt like our own when we walked in. Our two boys had their own rooms, our dog was a happy camper, and we loved having all of the space to ourselves. The beach is right across from the neighborhood, and the neighborhood itself felt very safe. We have zero complaints on this property!

Great house located in a cute little gated community. The house fit our family perfectly, gave us plenty of space to gather and hang out, while also allowing individual space when someone wanted to break away. The community pools were really a nice thing to have quick access too. While the site does mention the beach, it is really a lot closer than you realize. We walked a few times, or took the golf cart we had rented when we needed to shuttle beach equipment and people. There really is a lot of food places, donut and ice cream shops, a few places to get some drinks, and a little shopping that is very close by to the property. We hadn’t expected that, but we were able to stay very close and only went into Destin proper once. That really made our trip even more enjoyable, and we felt like we were helping those smaller, local establishments get back on track. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely look to stay here again.

Beaches and Birdies was much better than I expected. It was very comfortable with plenty of space for two families. Proximity to the two beach entrances and the main town center was perfect. The house cleanliness was great too. Very updated and clean. I would definitely do again.

We were very pleased with the layout and it very well constructed. It was large enough to easily allow 4 couples to stay and looked like someone had taken very good care this house. There are two pools in the subdivision. It was relaxing to sit on the porch and watch people riding their bikes or walking their dogs. Beaches and Birdies is centrally located to all areas of interest. You can be at many restaurants in just minutes. We would definitely stay at this location on future trips to Santa Rosa.

My family really enjoyed "Beaches and Birdies" in Old Florida Village. The pools were great, the neighborhood is quiet and friendly and the house was fantastic. "Beaches and Birdies" was a very comfortable home for our family. Definitely coming back next year.
