We had a great stay! The location is absolutely awesome and being right on the beach was perfect. And I mean RIGHT ON THE BEACH!!! The condo was a great place for our family and we really enjoyed our time here. A few things could use some updating—the mattresses were quite uncomfortable, the pull-out sofa was awful, and the shower head and curtain could use replacing. A small facelift, this place would be even better! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Overall, we had a great stay here. Yes, there was some noise from the pool area and upstairs condos, but it did not take away from our overall experience. The location is perfect. This area of the beach is not crowded at all and we walked to dinner at Camille’s one evening (amazing). This is a great area to stay that has much less traffic than Destin. I went for a run one morning up and down scenic highway 98 and it was my most enjoyable run this year! The beach service was awesome and the beach attendants worked very hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. We plan on returning in the future!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location is unbeatable—literally having the beach in our backyard was perfect for convenience and spectacular views. The pool was so convenient and just few steps from our front door. Also, we were able to walk to dinner, gas station to pick up quick items as well as other stores in the area. The condo itself was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. What truly made this stay stand out was the exceptional communication from the host; they were incredibly responsive and clear, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. We loved the ocean breeze and can't wait to return!

The beach view is amazing! The location is wonderful. It felt secluded but you could still walk places in 10-20 minutes. And of course lots of places to drive as well.The chairs and umbrella set up was super nice and made our stay even more enjoyable. The beach was wonderful and not crowded in October.It could use just a little sprucing up as it is showing some wear and tear, but nothing major.

The Condo is in a quiet area, so was less crowded which is exactly what we were looking for, for an anniversary trip! Would definitely recommend this condo and will be back. The only thing we would change is we would like the 3rd floor, as the noise from above was loud from time to time. Overall, wonderful trip and very much needed!

I was a little worried by a few recent reviews. But the condo is a gem! The views and beach access were incredible. The condo was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. If it had been any “fancier” it would have been stuffy for a place right on the beach. I could not have enjoyed my visit and the condo more!!! Plus Wi-FI was great, which I needed to work. We never left for 5 days - walked to restaurants and used Uber Eats for groceries and a few meals. Already thinking about coming back - and I’ll visit this condo again if it’s available!

Beach access couldn't be easier! Condo was clean, homey and had all the amenities we needed. Quiet low traffic neighborhood. The only negative thing was that you could easily hear neighbor's conversations and TV. We plan to stay there again next year if it is available when we need it! Fit our needs perfectly.

WOW, WOW, WOW! If you love the beach and want to only be steps away, in beautiful surroundings then this is the place to visit! The condo looks just like the pictures and is so functional. This sweet, clean, comfortable condo gives a new meaning to Oceanfront! It is so intimately close to the beach and ocean! We loved the convenient location but off the main highway so it felt more private and quiet. The furnishings were great, most comfortable king mattress ever in any rental! The kiitchen had updated appliances and was well stocked. Lastly, there were plenty of towels and linens included!! We look forward to visiting again!!

What you see in pictures is what you get! The beach is literally attached to your unit, I loved not having to lug all the “Mom Supplies” down to the beach, you could just run up stairs from your private beach if you needed something. Tons of personal touches like games and books for kids, beach decor, and kitchen fully stocked and ready to cook. And one of the most comfortable AirBnB beds I’ve slept in!

It a great 1 bed apartment with beautiful decor located on the super pretty crystal beach. Very close(5 mins drive) to a lot of restaurants and shopping complex. We loved our 4 day stay there and spent lot more time on the blue balcony chairs than I would like to admit. Everything was very clean. Instructions to check in and check out were straight forward as well. Ellen is a superb host and was quick with her responses. We would definitely be back :) <3

We loved our stay in Destin! The view of the beach (and amazing sunsets) was fabulous. We walked the beach every day and we were close to restaurants and shopping too. The condo is comfortable and nicely appointed. The bunk beds were not ideal for my grown son but fortunately, the queen sized air mattress was very comfy and super easy to inflate and use. The landlord was very responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend this property.

My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. We technically came in off season so it was a smidge cooler than normal. The place was perfect! Great unobstructed view of the Emerald Coast with chairs setup to watch the sunrise and sunset. This had its own beach access and centrally located to places to eat and drink. There were a couple minor things like the cable not working, but the property manager was extremely responsive and receptive. We will be back!

Communication with the owner was on point! Having the private beach with chairs and umbrella access was wonderful... much appreciated when the beach got crowded. Simply put, our family of 5 loved our stay so much - that we put down our deposit for June 2020!! We have Finally found our "Home Away from Home!" We loved the location being directly on the beach - in a smaller unit, so you have more of a private beach with the crystal clear emerald water - a nice private pool - Free beach service (typically about $30 per day!) and Cameron is Awesome - minutes from shopping, bowling or the movie theatre - and if you don't want to get into the traffic, there are lots of dinner options right off the road the condo sits on; So Convenient!! This condo also has the most accommodating owners, who gave their personal cell phone should we need anything! They also make sure that it's furnished with top-notch in everything you could possibly need! You literally could just show up here with the clothes on your back and a swim suit! ;) All the beds were very comfortable and the ac gets cold!! The washer and dryer were such a convenience to have - so we didn't return home with loads and loads of laundry to have to worry with. The porch is perfect for morning coffee... and your'e literally just steps away from being ON the beach. There's also a very nice "wash station" with two hoses and bench seating, which was so nice to have when returning to your condo from the beach. Everything was super clean... we couldn't have been any happier and are on the countdown til' our return in 2020!! :D

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, and recommend this to anyone looking for a great beach trip. First, the location is ideal. Second, the property itself is smaller and so you don’t feel sandwiched in with big crowds. Third, everything we could need for the beach and the kitchen was there. Incredibly stunning view from the balcony, where we ate breakfast every morning. It's hard to describe how pleasant it was watching the dolphins swim by as Cameron set up our umbrellas for the day before a quick surf. Every room is tastefully decorated with a beach theme, pleasing to the eye whether you are 6 or 60. The king bed was comfortable, as were the linens. No problems with any plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, washer, drier, dishwasher. Everything works and we used it all! Recliners are comfortable. We especially liked the hard surface flooring, which was clean upon arrival and no-fuss to keep. We cannot overstate the joy of the private beach with Cameron and his crew attending. The condominiums overall are well maintained and the security is excellent. The fish is wonderful everywhere in town. But we also enjoyed buying fresh fish at Destin Ice & Seafood a couple of evenings and pairing it with their cole slaw. And make sure you take a sunset cruise. We literally saw hundreds of dolphins! While we didn't have children with us, the condo is equipped with games, books, videos, water toys and more should you bring the kids. This is a first-rate vacation!

Enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful condo. Very clean and extremely comfortable. The condo has everything you could possibly need for a week at the beach. The view from the balcony was stunning. We saw dolphins everyday with our morning coffee. The beach is perfect! Not crowded and very clean. The umbrella service included is wonderful. So nice not having to carry your own down to the beach everyday. Ellen was fantastic to work with. She allowed us to check in early and stayed in contact throughout the week to insure we were satisfied. I accidentally left a dress in the condo after we had checked out. This condo is located in the heart of Destin. We believe it is the best location on the beach. Ellen is the best owner of any condo we have stayed in, she is over accommodating and we love it! just a great vacation . Lana and I have stayed in over 10 condos on different vacations and we was absolutely overwhelmed at how clean and well stocked this place is. Ellen had everything from lotion to toothbrushes and even beach toys . anything you forgot was here waiting on you. everything in destin was great but this condo made it perfect. there was even canola oil and a mixer that Lana used to make me a birthday cake anytime we are in Destin this is our choice and if your smart it will be yours thanks ellen from the waddells

My family of four have been vacationing in destin for years and have stayed in many different condos. For the price, this unit can't be beat. The decor is tasteful, the appliances and tvs are updated and the beds are great. Throw in the great view and the closeness to the pool and this unit is our new favorite. Plus, working with the owner was a delight. She was very personal and proved to be engaged in working to make our stay the best it could be. We will certainly be repeats and are looking forward to our next stay.

Upon entering the condo we were amazed at how well it was decorated. Its provided the beach feel in every place you looked. Having a private beach within feet of our balcony was a major plus. For us we prefer smaller low key facilities over the huge condos which can have hundreds of guests. Ellen was very easy to work with and made sure we were beyond satisfied from before arriving till after we left. We highly recommend this condo and will be returning in the near future.

I can't say enough great things about Ellen and her condo - she was the greatest and easiest person to work with and made sure that everything was set before we even got there. The view from the balcony is OUTSTANDING - you have a private beach just for the villas so you'll always have a spot. Ellen has the patio filled with beach toys that would make anyone happy and there are extra toiletries inside in case you forget anything. OR the location is extremely convenient to a Walgreens and Publix. The parking is so easy and the beach access is so clean. The gentlemen doing the umbrellas and chairs was beyond helpful and sweet! The indoor pool was the perfect temperature as well. I cannot say enough about the view from the balcony - we ate breakfast and dinner out there every single day. The inside is decorated perfect for the beach and the bed is so comfortable - TV is easy to use as is the shower and dishwasher. All kitchen equipment is in the kitchen - there was literally nothing that we needed while we were there. I am already planning my next vacation to the condo!!! Thanks again for everything, Ellen!

I cannot say enough great things about this condo and the owner, Ellen. The view is breathtaking and worth it alone. However, there are so many other wonderful things about this place. Walk down the stairs and you will be on the beach. Cameron, the beach valet, is a sweetheart and will make sure you are all set with chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Ellen also provides extra beach chairs and beach toys for more fun. During our stay they were doing construction on the property, but it was still quiet and relaxing. The condo is impecably clean and well decorated. You will have everything you need for your stay such as towels, sheets, and soap, just bring your toothbrush and your clothes. The king bed is extremely comfy. The location of the condo complex is excellent. There are plenty of restaurants, beach shops, and activities nearby. Ellen is a fantastic host. She is very responsive and makes sure you have everything you need. She treated us like family. The construction on the building was supposed to be completed by the time we arrived, but it was extended. Ellen was kind enough to give us a reduced rate. I highly recommend booking this condo asap. You will not regret it!

We had a beautiful condo and the view was amazing from the balcony. We celebrated our 28 anniversary and enjoyed every minute we had. We did have to leave early due to weather coming in but the time we did have was magical.

This is the best condo to stay in. It is beautifully decorated and has amazing views from the balcony. My husband and I have been able to rent this condo for the past several years and have always enjoyed our stay. We recommend this unit to anyone that is wanting to stay in this area. The condo fells like a home, so tastefully decorated, the kitchen has everything that you would need and the condo always has a fresh clean smell and look. Ellen is a great person to work with and if you ever have any questions or concerns she gets back to you immediately. We would not stay anywhere else.

Doesn’t get much better than this! (Our second time returning to Destin and staying at this group of condos). It literally takes a minute to walk down to private beach or to new outdoor pool area. This is so important when having little ones and having to run back and forth to the room for things. Got to revisit my favorite little coffee/breakfast spot every morning, Camille’s! (5 min walk tops - just take a right outside of condo and follow the sidewalk. So many awesome restaraunts in town too! (Fudpuckers and McGuire’s to name a few faves). Condo was plenty big for our family of 4. Ellen was a pleasure to work with! Next time we will know not to pack as much, as Ellen had tons of kids sand & swim toys for guests to use :) Master bed super comfy! Bunk beds cute and full of books for kiddos to read.Ellen also has lots of family games and movies for guests as well. Overall, wonderful stay and such a great vacation for our family! Our family absolutely loved our week at 'The Floridian'. The unit is so nice- very well decorated with comfortable furniture and mattresses. It was perfect for our family of 5 (kids aged 7 yrs, 4 yrs, and 10 mos). We cooked dinner almost every night and there was nothing lacking in the kitchen. The keurig was awesome, we brought Kcups from home. The private beach is just steps away which is super convenient with small children. We also loved the umbrella and chairs that were included. We were able to leave our beach gear down at the beach when we came back for naps and lunch time. The kids loved the pool. It is covered so we were still able to swim on the day it rained. Parking can be a bit tight so don't plan on bringing a trailer or RV but the location is great. It's kind of by the end of a street so there is not a lot of traffic which is nice during the busy summer time. Walmart, Walgreens, and Publix are just minutes away. Would definitely stay here again. We are already wanting to plan our next trip! Thank you, Ellen!

Ellen was amazing to work with answered any and all questions. When we arrived we were just amazed how beautifully the condo was decorated, and litterally had everything you could need. We were literally steps from the beach, and had an amazing view. Even tho we had a couple of days of rain from tropical storm cindy and the water was off limits my girls enjoyed the fact that they were still able to swim since the pool was coved, another good feature.

There is nothing bad I could say about this unit! First, Ellen is simply the best to work with! I can assure you that the other great reviews that you've read, along with this one, are absolutely true! The unit was clean, tastefully decorated, located in a prime location with direct views of the indoor pool, and only a short walk (less than a hop, skip, and a jump) from the private beach! What I found most impressive about this unit was that there was no detail left undone, and everything was completely furnished, right down to back up toiletries if you need them. You could literally come with only your clothing, and would be fully capable of having everything you would need to have a great time! Ellen even left us a nice bottle of wine as a welcoming gift for our stay. Bonus: it is a one bedroom unit with, get this, 2 BATHROOMS!!! As far as I'm concerned, any return visits I have to Destin will be booked at this location. It was simply perfect!

This is our 3rd time staying at the Floridian! We totally love this condo. It's perfect for our family beach vacation. It's beautifully decorated with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Love to sit out on the balcony sipping my coffee every morning. It has everything that you need, and sure makes you feel like home. This condominium is not huge, so the part of the private beach you are on is not so crowded compared to other areas. Great location with easy access to grocery stores and restaurants. Ellen was super nice and very easy to work with. She also always responded to any of my questions quickly. If we are going to come back to Destin again, the Floridian will always be my pick to stay!!! You won't regret it!!!

My husband and I just returned home from a week's stay in this beautiful condo. The location is great! It's on a quiet street that dead ends, so there's little traffic. It's very close to Publix and Destin Commons Shopping Center. The condo is extremely clean. The décor is beautiful. The kitchen has top of the line appliances, which this cook can appreciate. The table and chair set on the balcony makes it easy to see over the railing, with a spectacular view of the beach. We spent a lot of time on the balcony. The private beach....WONDERFUL....and just a down a few stairs from the condo. This makes it very easy to leave all of your beach items on your chairs, while you go back up to the room for lunch. We loved the small, laid back feel of the area, compared to the high rise condos. Ellen was super easy to with and quick to respond. You won't regret your stay at The Floridian of Crystal Villas!

Being so close to the water is also my favorite part of the condo and being able to sit on the balcony and enjoy it. There are so many people you can rent a condo from in Destin, since you picked me I want to make sure you are 100% sure that you made a good decision. Although there are advantages to having an outdoor pool, I have come to appreciate the indoor pool so the kids have something to do on rainy days and I do not have to worry about a sunburn. We enjoyed our stay at Crystal Villas "The Floridian". It is right on the beach! Great view of the beach. The place has everything you need for a week vacation (or longer). Since it is close to the end of Scenic 98, the beach is not as busy. It is close enough to all the shopping and eating places, but felt like we had the beach almost to ourselves. We enjoyed the complimentary beach service each day. It was a plus! Unit A-6 has all the kitchen items you would need to cook at home. We used the washer and dryer in the unit and didn't have dirty clothes to wash when we returned home. We enjoyed the Keurig each morning. They had all kinds of choices of coffee and tea pods. Boogie boards that were in the unit were a lot of fun to use on the water. This place has movies, books, board games. We used the binoculars a few times to watch porpoise in the gulf. Bring your beach towels and swim suits and you are set. The only thing you might want to bring is bottled water. The refrigerator does not have a water dispenser. We made it fine without one. Just something to note. We will definitely be coming back to this place for another vacation! Ellen is extremely nice to work with! Unit was clean and exactly as the pictures on the website.

We own a daycare in Atlanta so we realize the importance of keeping kids entertained. That is why we have tried to put lots of interesting games for all ages and a variety of toys. The best part of the condo is that it is on the most beautiful and quiet part of the beach in Destin. "The Floridian" at Crystal Villas is the perfect destination for couples and families. Located steps from the white sandy beaches of the Gulf and close to shopping, groceries, and restaurants. We loved the uncrowded beach and Ellen was fantastic to work with, providing us with parking passes, keyless entry codes and info we needed in advance to settle in to her beach home. The condo is clean, with perfect beach decor, and the kitchen is well stocked with new appliances and both a regular coffee maker and Keurig machine. We appreciated the large storage bin on the deck with beach chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, etc. At the end of the day it was relaxing to sit on the deck and watch the sun go down and enjoy the reclining sofa and watch a DVD on the big screen TV. This was our second visit to "The Floridian" in the past 5 months and we can't wait to return to Destin and the crystal waters of the Gulf Coast! Thanks again, Ellen.

I am so impressed by the condition and decorations in this condo. I cannot believe it is a rental unit. It looks like it is the owners home because it is so well maintained and furnished so nicely. I have found my new happy place. We have only been here one day, but I never want to leave. I asked her to have a bottle of wine in the fridge to surprise my wife upon arrival and it was there. There is no detail overlooked in this place. My only complaint is I wish we could have brought our dog, but she does not allow pets although I told her we would put up a deposit. I saw someone else with a dog here yesterday.

I had a FABULOUS vacation THANKS to our host-Ellen. We had a few special requests...and she was able to meet and exceed our expectations. And her quick response to my concerns eased my mind. We looked at several different properties..but sooooo happy this was our chosen property. I thought at first that we would want to be on the busier part of Destin -this was our first visit to Destin (I usually want to be "where the action is")...but I was soooo happier we chose closer to the park...and got a much better beach experience. I was also happy that we didn't choose a first floor unit like I first thought about. Thanks Ellen !!!

The new owner reached out to me to write a review for this condo based upon my last visit. I can recommend this condo without hesitation to others. It is nicest condo in Destin I have ever stayed in. It is just as nice as the photos and there are lots of extras there. There are toys for the kids and books and movies for the adults. The washer and dryer in the unit were very helpful. The balcony is so nice to sit and listen to the waves crashing and watching the sunsets. The condo was so convenient to shopping, dining, and entertainment. We could have walked but we took an Uber for a few dollars to Destin Commons where we ate and watched a movie one night. We also like this condo because the beach was so much less crowded then other areas of Destin where we have stayed.
