We have stayed at sanddollar and sticks in the sand for 9 years now and have loved it every year!!! Its like our home away from home.

This place was perfect for myself and guest. Conveniently located and clean. We were right on the beach and had a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. We would definitely stay here again.

An amazing place to stay that’s conveniently on the beach and walking distance to food, coffee, ice cream and shops! There are also beach chairs and an umbrella included in the stay, all you have to do is call La dolce vita and tell them where you’re staying and they’ll be set up the next morning. 10/10 would recommend staying here and we will be coming back for sure!

We had a fantastic experience in this home! We especially appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella that were included. It was on the first floor with easy access to the beach. The beach is so beautiful with fluffy white sand!

The cabin was located outside of town. It was very private very beautiful area.. The cabinet itself was totally adorable. Had a nice deck on the front porch and the back porch to sit on the barbecue grill came in extremely handy and so did the full kitchen.. there was even horses available for the children to feed and we could ride if we wanted to this place is highly recommended to me if you’re going to the area. We had to drive for a few minutes to get to our floating destination, but we didn’t mind at all because the cabin was so perfect!

I absolutely LOVED the location of this property! It is a 1 bedroom apartment beach front condo. Perfect for a couple given most locations are are for 4 or more people. So very affordable if you want a smaller condo! The unit itself is a little dated. Nothing really bothered me aside from the toilet. Specifically the shape of the toilet seat & the way it flushes it clogged easy. Unit was clean however I would bring your own pillows. The proximity to the beach was my favorite feature. It also comes with a reserved umbrella & 2 chairs that r placed at the beach every morning. The bottom deck also has a heated outdoor shower. The location is in the middle of a lot of restaurants. Parking is definitely tight. But overall great experience I would definitely book again in the future. Also for the rate of what it cost I literally have 0 complaints. I will compromise an old toilet & some yellow pillows for a beach front condo at such a good price! In all honesty I think if they remodeled the bathroom they could likely charge double so you give or take what to expect at a certain cost. Great place seriously!

Came down for half a week. The location is great, a 50 yard walk to Ponpabo Joes and a short drive to several other restaurants. The only way to get closer to the bench is to camp on it. The ONLY downside was the parking. The spaces are incredibly narrow and it says 2 cars one in front of the other but good luck if they aren’t both smart cars. In all, I’d definitely book here again and not think twice about it.

We absolutely loved stating here because of the proximity to the beach. It is literary steps to the sand. The only drawback for us was the parking and the balcony. It rained quite a bit during our week ling stay and we couldn't use the balcony due to all the water dripping from the balcony above. But we would stay here again for sure!

If you want a beach in your backyard, this is a good choice. Nice beach chairs provided by the owner. Condo was well kept and great for two people. There was a separate entrance so social distancing easy.

We were very pleased with the location of the property. The beach is beautiful and there are many places within walking distance. The unit itself could use some updating and also some of the wood rot made me nervous. The parking spots are so narrow you should hope the neighbors are not present or you may not be able to squeeze in.

We loved everything about this condo. It was the perfect size for our family of 5! The view of the beach from our condo was breathtaking and we loved staying right on the beach!! Will definitely consider this place again when we come back to Destin!

Perfect for 2 people! Everything was clean and fuctioning. Loved this little unit...the only thing that could have made it better was the mattress. Ughh. but, it may have been just us. some may have loved it. the view and beach access was what this property is all about!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights while visiting with our daughter. It was easy to find, clean and had all of the comforts of home. We were able to sit in the deck and people watch, walk on the beach, and sleep to the sound of waves crashing.

we loved staying at sticks in the sand. the moment we walked through to the back door and saw the beach we immediately relaxed. it was so neat to walk barefoot down the back stairs and straight into the sand.

My wife and I stayed in this one bedroom townhouse the first week of February 2019. The only way you could get any closer to the ocean than this townhouse would be to pitch a tent about 50 feet from the waves! The place was clean, the bed in the master bedroom was comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. It was great to have a washer and dryer in the townhouse too. In the front room, there is a sleep sofa, but with just us two, we didn't use it so I don't know how well that sleeps. This was my first beach vacation, and I can say I am definitely spoiled now, and will probably never rent a place "across the street" from the beach or "a short walk" to the beach. Sticks In The Sand has them all beat! You can even hear the crashing surf from inside the townhouse! The owner, James Slatton, was very easy to book with, and always prompt with replies. And on Super Bowl Sunday, when local Cox Cable had a huge outage starting in the morning, James notified all his renters in the mid-afternoon with suggestions on which bars/restaurants (with DirecTV or Dish) to go watch the game around town if service did not return by kick-off (Cox service eventually returned with 5 minutes left in the half). My wife and I have already booked one of James' two bedroom townhouses for February 2020, and look forward to our return!

Lovely small condo with a beautiful wooden covered porch right on the beach. The furniture was very comfortable and the home was fully stocked with all kitchen tools and beach chairs. We enjoyed the view from our bed every morning as we awoke to the sounds of the surf and the birds. We saw dolphins everyday and took advantage of the quick stroll to pompano joes for lunch and cocktails!

My husband and I had a very relaxing stay at this condo overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! It was perfect for us. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset not long after we arrived, then a beautiful sunrise the next morning. The views were different every day. The condo is well equipped and very clean. The covered porch overlooking the beach was exactly what we wanted. We walked to dinner and even to breakfast one day. We were glad it was available for a sunny January weekend!
