LOVE the location!! Convenience store right across the street so it was very easy to get beach necessities in the morning. Literally walk down off the patio and be on the beach in a matter of steps. No multiple rows of beach chairs and umbrellas, plenty space.

The owner James is always quick to get in touch with, and helpful fpr anything you may need during your stay! Last year we stayed in 2b, which was larger but 4b actually met all of our needs for just me and my partner. I never understood negative ratings for this property. For the money, you can never beat this place! The private beach, ocean views, and amenities that are readily available also make this location well worth it! Thank you James, we'll be back next year!!!

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was as described. I loved walking out the door to the sand no crowded elevators. The beach area wasn’t crowded. Just a short ways down it looked like ants on the beach there were so many people. The Studio flat was clean and comfortable. No frills just the minimum of what you need. We didn’t need much especially for 2 nights. Our time was spent on the beach and the porch. The building definitely needs some TLC but overall we were very pleased. Oh and we loved that it was so family oriented. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a great place for a nice, quiet and peaceful vacation! The room was extraordinary! It was clean and beautiful! You can hear footsteps above you but that was no problem to us! A great stay and we will definitely be back!

Great location directly on the beach! Cute little studio but with plenty of room for a couple. The deck overlooks the beach and feels very private. As an added bonus, its only about a mile from the outlets! Is in walking distance of a couple of restaurants/bars, shopping and small winery. There is a two bedroom condo above this studio. Both condos share an exterior entrance. Would make a great combo for large families to enjoy.

Great little beach house. Has everything you need and you can’t get a better view. Right on the beach. I loved it so much I added another night to my stay no problem. Would stay here again.

Fantastic location, close to everything but away from the bustle of Destin. Very functional kitchen, and great views from the private deck. Two closets and a large dresser provide a decent amount of storage. Locking storage closet on the main deck for your beach gear. Best of all, management was easily reached, and responded quickly, courteously and professionally when we had an air conditioning malfunction. This is a comfortable space for two adults. We would rent here again. Thank you James and Shari for a wonderful stay.

My new husband and I spent a week at Sticks in the Sand. The place was perfect. Our place was clean and had everything we needed. Beach view and acces has us spoiled....we will definitely be back.

WOW!!! Everything was exactly what I paid for!! The view was worth every penny alone!! Have to rant a little tho on the ones who had negative things to say about this place ! I read all the negative post before I booked and was a little worried BUT people come on!!!!! High five to this condo owner for handling it professional cause I couldn't! That being said all the bad reviews, well... maybe should go for the $800 a night condos that are more private and not "as noisy" for those that can't afford that (me), drink a couple of glasses of wine and maybe a zanex if it's just so bad 😂!! I loved it and so did my kids and we will definitely be going again and staying here hopefully every year thanks for making it great for us!!

My husband and I stayed here and it was perfect for our needs. It was just the right size for the two of us. We loved being on the beach and the area because it was quiet and we didn't have fight with anyone for a spot on the beach which was just a short walk in the sand. The balcony was our favorite place to sit and relax. You're just a short drive from downtown Destin without having to deal with all the people that stay in Destin.

We stayed here for 4 nights, and it was perfect! The view was stunning, everything was very clean, and we appreciated all of the beach toys and chairs! We have already talked about coming back, and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. There's nothing quite like waking up, walking down the stairs, and being on the beach instantly!

We stayed on a Wednesday-Sunday for our first family vacation with our young daughter who is five years old. I was super impressed of how close it was to the water and it was so convenient going back and forth multiple times a day to the room for small breaks and meals. The room was just spacious enough and we enjoyed being able to grill and cook in the room and not go out every meal and there was plenty of kitchen items for us to cook with. It was very clean and more than we needed for our stay. We will be back!

We have stayed at this place several times and it has never disappointed. The owners, James and Sheri, are very attentive if you need something. I don't think you can find anything in the Destin area that is as close to the ocean as their units, with a view, and close to all the goings on in Destin. Just a Perfect place.

It was great to be right on the beach without all the hassle of getting there. Area not overcrowded with businesses but close enough to all. Owner was of great help when needed. We had all we needed to enjoy our stay. Eating out or grilling in.

I don't think I've ever written a review for anything but this one deserves it!! The apartment was just as the pictures show but they really don't do the whole experience justice. Being just steps away from the waters edge and not having to deal with the crowds of the public beaches was AWESOME! It was perfect for me and my wife but if you have more than 2 people it would get pretty close. All the appliances have been updated along with the kitchen counters. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone and will probably be back again.

Absolutely perfect spot for a couples getaway! I was pleasantly surprised with the beach supplies in the downstairs closet....including multiple beach chairs, Adirondack chairs (perfect for nighttime beach sitting), boogie boards, and various floats/toys for children. We had the best time grilling while overlooking the beach with ~10 steps to go from the kitchen to the beach. PERFECT! Also thoroughly enjoyed the relatively private beach with wide open spaces between you and the next beach goer...never had to fight for a water front spot to relax! Plenty of pans and pots for cooking nighttime snacks, although we brought our own spices and tin foil! Only thing we missed was an oven mitt...my boyfriend actually burnt his fingers trying to use a kitchen towel to get items out of the oven. Couldn't believe a mitt wasn't provided. This was a minor inconvenience though compared to all the pluses this condo provided. We would definitely book this spot again solely based on the easy access to the beautiful beach!

Property was in a great location for beach access and local attractions. Very cutely decorated. There was a set of young twins staying in the unit above us....we heard every footstep they made. Luckily they were young enough that they calmed down by 2300. The floors in our unit were very noisy to walk on...if anyone got out of bed to go to the restroom, we ALL knew it. I had received the list of supplies those were provided, but for what we were paying, I was shocked that only one roll of toilette paper was supplied. This is sounding very egative and that is not my intention, just things that both owner and renters need to know. We had s great time and really enjoyed the property!

Stayed here due to location and privacy (we had our 2 month old with us who loved the sound of the ocean from the patio!). There are several unit options under the same/similar listings on this or another listing site, and we had 4B which is the first floor studio. We could easily walk to the beach, and carry all the extra stuff we had to keep our baby covered. Unit is small, but described appropriately, and we had enough room for our 7 night vacation. We missed having an indoor dining table/bar, or good coffee table to eat off of in the living room (seating for around 6 on patio), some kitchen essentials were missing (mainly a cutting board, so we just bought one), and I can only assume that previous guests took any/all kitchen staples that normally aren't provided by owners, but left by the guests (salt, pepper, coffee filters, spices). Owners provide one roll of toilet paper and paper towels, and one trash bag even though we were staying a week and trash runs twice weekly. We were told of this all in advance, but I don't want to have to pack/purchase this trivial stuff when paying 150+ per night. That being said...I would definitely stay here again. I really enjoyed the beach which was clean and uncrowded. The unit price was great, and the owners were very timely communicators except for the check out information email which arrived 1.5 hours before we were supposed to be out, and didn't read until we were on the road. We had people above us who we could occasionally hear, but I expect that anywhere. The unit was well maintained, bed was very comfortable, the AC was cold but could use a vent near the bed rather than two in the kitchen. The best shopping centers are within 10-15minutes, and downtown Destin is about 20min, and a CVS is within about a mile. Two TVs and adequate channels, but who cares when you're at the beach?! We really enjoyed our stay and would return (plus they offer a repeat renter perk). Thank you to the owners!

My husband and I stayed for a week with our 2 month old and it was a great place to stay! To step out the door and be on the beach was priceless, especially with an infant. The only thing that was difficult was the floor squeaked in places when walked on and it made it a little hard at night when the baby was asleep. We will definitely pursue staying here in the future!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and found being directly on the beach convenient for your family. Next time i might recommend Sticks 1b, 2b, or 3b as they have tiled first floors which reduces the amount of squeaking but because we are built on pylons in the sand that sway we cant eliminate it all.
