Great location right on the beach. This property to walking distance to shopping and restaurants. We saw dolphins every morning from the deck. You get a wonderful beach view. The place could use some minor updates but overall a great place.

Can’t beat the location - has a private beach for just the complex so you avoid the crowds. Plenty of room for just the two of us and within walking distance or restaurants and coffee. The storage closet has tons of beach toys so if you bring kids they can definitely find something to play with. Bed was extremely comfortable and you are only one flight of stairs from the beach. Highly recommend.

This small condo was perfect for my husband and me. We stayed a short three nights away but it was so so amazing being right there on the beach. It was spacious enough, clean and the walk-in shower/jacuzzi tub was an added bonus. We had an issue with our AC when first arriving and they were extremely responsive to our needs. Everything was perfect for us!!!!

We loved the location and how close it was to the beach and the restaurants. Only issues we had was the shower and the bed. The seal around the door on the walk in shower was bad so water kept leaking out of the bottom onto the floor with every time we showered. The bed was just super firm. We Couldn’t get a good nights sleep because we couldn’t get comfortable. Also in our blankets and towels there were other peoples hair balled up in them. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and we’d definitely come back to stay again. Thanks for letting us stay.

Some stuff needs to be replaced or fixed. For example shower door is missing the plastic on the bottom so water is coming outside during a shower. Patio door needs a new locks and grill needst to be replaced.

You cant beat this stay on the ocean. You get so much for the price. Beautiful views all day long. Dining with in walking distance. Communication with the owners was outstanding. We had a small issue with the homes water which was dealt with immediately and we were given options to use other units water until the water was restored which it was immediately. We chose this home on our first 3 nights of our Florida vacation and chose it again for the return trip because we enjoyed it so much the 1st time. FYI your parking spots are the NO parking spots. Definitely recommend.

We stayed at this property before except for the top floor for our honeymoon. This was our first time on the second floor. It was definitely a different experience with pros and cons. Pros are you’re closer to the beach and not as many stairs. Cons are you hear everything above you. We had some restless night and mornings as a family was staying above us. But other than that, it’s a great place to stay. Very convenient walk to everything.

Loved the view from our patio! Excellent spot on the beach! Loved that we had our own private little section! Close to fabulous restaurants! Only complaint was upstairs renter had 3 kids who stomped around at all times of the night. They stomped so hard that it made our fire detector go off several times. We will definitely be back!

This was a wonderful experience! The view is spectacular, the room was clean and had everything we needed, and the check in and check out process was a breeze. I will definitely stay here again!! One suggestion I have is for the host to include Netflix or Hulu options on the television. That would have made an already perfect trip even better. I cannot wait to stay here again! :)

Thanks for your feedback! I believe all of our main televisions in the living room are either streaming, have a chromecast option or you can access the stream through the DVD player. I should include that in the house book.

My husband and I had a great time on our get away on the water. Our priority on a place to stay while on vacation was to stay right on the water and this place did not disappoint. Having direct and private access to the beach, sand and water was the highlight of our stay. When we were not on the beach we enjoyed sitting on the patio taking in the amazing scenic views. Simple and outdated decor but clean and INCREDIBLE views. The management was great with communication and everything was exactly as described. If you are looking for a perfect location, and a quaint space, this is it. I loved opening the door and hearing the waves at night! We enjoyed the Boardwalk and Boshshamps seafood was worth the wait. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay here at sticks in the sand. This was our second time coming to the same exact unit because it’s just amazing. The private beach is wonderful, the view is spectacular, and very close to all major attractions. Cannot wait to go back!

The three of us enjoyed a week stay in Destin to celebrate my nieces high school graduation. We stayed at Sticks in the Sand room 3b and would definitely stay there again! It had everything we needed. There was a king size bed and a Murphy bed, and it also had a sleeper sofa, enough to sleep 6 if needed. The bathroom was nice & spacious, with washer & dryer. There was a bbq grill on the deck and we had a close, beautiful view of the ocean. I think the only complaint was that rain leaked through the deck above us. There was a storage room below that contained chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, etc for everyone to share. I really liked the fact that there were no stairs in the front of the building where we parked, and just one flight of stairs off the back deck that led straight to the beach. The parking spaces are pretty narrow. We really enjoyed staying in that area, on Scenic Gulf Drive.

First, I want to thank James for his communications! James reached out quickly and politely to address any concerns we had. He and his wife have a beautiful home, settled on the best location! Walking distance to so many local restaurants, parasailing, banana boat rides, snorkeling, cart rentals and of course the beach which is just down a set of steps! It doesn’t get any better than that! The one and only remotely negative thing I must say, the sliding glass doors that go out onto the deck are extremely hard to open and close. I believe it needed a little TLC and could be much easier to use! Everything otherwise was perfect and we are so excited to stay again in the Fall! Thank you again, James and Shari for opening your home for us to enjoy.

Just spent a wonderful and relaxing week at Sticks in the Sand, 3b. It was a perfect amount of space for my husband and me and we especially enjoyed the cleanliness, the updated kitchen, updated bathroom, and wonderful balcony with a great view of the water. Enjoyed being close to restaurants and shopping. Access to the private beach couldn't be easier, just down our stairs and onto the sand! James goes out of his way to make his guests comfortable. Great location, Miramar Beach is our preferred area. The condo sits right on the sand, making it very convenient if you like to be on the beach all day, as we do. The decking could use a little updating. It was quiet until our last night, when some noisy folks rented nearby, but being right on the beach probably results in more activity than we are used to.

Great place to stay. It was all set up to cook and do laundry for my kids and a short walk to the water. The view was amazing and the location was fine to get to stores and other activities. Although I am exploring different beaches in different states right now, when I am ready to come back to this area I will be sure to look this place up again!!!

This studio 3b is a very convenient place to stay. It is literally, as the pic shows, steps from the beach. If you forget something, or need to run to the restroom, it takes just seconds to get back to the room. It also is within 2-3 miles of a Walmart, Destin Commons huge shopping plaza, and many good places to eat. When the four of us arrived, there were only 2 washcloths instead of 4. I contacted Marilyn, after no luck reaching the maid service, and she had the maid run two extra over to us. The place was clean and the beds were somewhat comfortable. Having the washer/dryer is a plus. Thank y'all for sharing your place with our family.

We came here for a “late” honeymoon. It’s always hit and miss with condos. This one was clean! It has a fold down bed, too. The beach is amazing. Having your own beach is a huge plus. We are already discussing coming back next year with our kids and again just us.

My two sisters and I wanted time on the beach to just walk, drink our coffee, watch the sun rise and set, we were not disappointed. We are all three readers and the beach traffic was very minimal, made for an enjoyable time with our books. We loved the house so much we never ate a meal out. We went to the local seafood store and purchase fresh shrimp twice. Cooked on the grill once. The house had everything we needed to cook with. The home was very clean, bright, and open. We loved the Murphys bed, it helped make for more space!! I had a business meeting in Orlando and we had originally planned on meeting in the Tampa area. When we heard about the Red Tied, we decided at the last minute to change to the Destin area. Went on VRBO and booked this little gem last minute. Very easy and James was great to work with via Text/Email. We plan on returning soon. Kelly

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Stinks in the Sand 3B! One morning, we saw dolphins swim by as we ate breakfast. It was great to be able to walk out the back door, down the steps and be on the private beach. It could not have been more convenient. The size of this unit was great for 2 people - I'm not sure how comfortable a larger group would be, but if you are mostly worried about the beach I'm sure you would be fine. The unit was clean and had most everything you need (I forgot my hair dryer, but who cares - we were at the beach). You really don't even have to bring beach chairs or sand castle-building tools. If you are flying here and trying to pack light, you will still have what you need to have a great time. We would love to be able to go back again!

We decided to stay at SITS because of the great reviews. We chose the studio bc it was just 3 of us and it worked out great. Being directly on the beach was so convenient to run back up and get something or if one person wanted to go in, the others could stay out. The views are incredible and we even saw dolphins one morning. Also, the beach is private, which means the hotels/condos around you cannot use SITS beach! The studio was very clean, updated with a modern look and had everything we needed. They do supply a starter kit and have a full kitchen, but you do need to bring some items of your own. We brought extra tide pods, dishwasher pods, garbage bags, tissues, toilet paper and napkins. Our studio had a patio door, door to the ocean steps and door to the street entrance. The door to exit the studio (there's one more door to the street yet) has a secure code lock from the outside, but can be opened from the inside by little ones. If you have little ones, you'll want to make sure you have a travel alarm to let you know they've opened it or somehow deter them from opening the door. That's only caution we noticed. The patio door and door to the ocean steps have back-up locks. There are restaurants in beach walking distance. Bad Ass Coffee was right down the street and our go-to each morning. Whale's Tale was up the beach and a great food spot. Joe Pompeo was up the beach as well and about a 15/20 min walk. Food was great and wonderful on-the-beach dining experience. Circle K is right across the road and great for forgotten items and coffee as well. We loved our stay and have so many great memories. James and his mom were very wonderful us as well when we had questions. Thank you SITS. We'll be back!

The most beautiful beach I’ve seen except for Turks and Caicos. Just beautiful. Love the location. Can walk to Whales Tail. The Beach Bar, Pompano Joes and Surf Hut. Negatives were no propane in our grill, but they said they would reimburse us. People upstairs were sooooo noisy with small children, but that can’t be helped. This was our second time staying here. Might try something different next time, with no one above me. Other than that I recommend Sticks In The Sand . Just left today and already missing it!!!

My wife and I stayed at SITS 3b with our 9 month old baby. We had one of the best beach vacations we've had in years, and we go to the beach at least once a year. A lot of this was because this was our baby's first trip to the beach and he loved it. The thing that really made it, though, was the convenience to the actual beach. We opted for the bottom floor so it would be easy to go back and forth between the unit and the ocean and I cannot underestimate how convenient this was! Upon check-in, the unit was very clean and felt very beachy and comfortable. There was a comforting scent in the room as well which was pleasant. We utilized the lower deck to store our cabana tent and beach chairs and - this is the best part - it took 5 steps to get them from the deck to the sand; EXCELLENT. We had 3 all-day beach days and after the first day we never packed a cooler again since it was an easy stroll back up to the fridge. Beer, baby bottles, food, etc stayed perfectly chilled in the fridge the whole time and obtained as needed. Bad Ass Coffee is a 5 minute walk from the unit which we got every morning. It's one of our favorites so this was a plus. We used the grill our first night for hotdogs and it was awesome. Grilling out on your spacious back deck with the beach as your backyard - sounds as great as it is. We cooked in the kitchen as well and everything was provided short of basic ingredients. We did need to buy salt & pepper; fortunately, the circle K across the street had salt & pepper for $4. By the way, the circle K brings even MORE convenience to this place. I walked over a couple times during our stay for simple things. Super easy and convenient. Outdoor shower was great. We never used the murphy bed or pull-out sofa. King bed was comfy and suited all 3 of us just fine. There was a family staying above us, but we never heard them. Beach was wide open. Felt like we were the only ones there sometimes, even with several families occupying units in SITS. You can look on either side of SITS and it just looks super packed and people-dense. Not us! Very happy. Private beach for SITS only. The last couple of trips, we left feeling ready to be back home. This time, we wish we would have stayed at least a couple days longer. We were genuinely sad to leave. Thanks James!

The proximity to the beach was perfect, only steps away. Close the grocery stores, etc but still very private and relaxing. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves just outside our patio door every night.

We absolutely loved this place! It was right on the beach with a gorgeous view! It was located between two nice restaurants within easy walking distance. Plus, there was a Circle K convenience store directly across from the unit for snacks and drinks. I do think the unit could have used a few more utensils and cooking pots, but other than that, no complaints! I usually have trouble sleeping away from home but the bed was super comfortable. Anyone would love this place! Very reasonable price for the amenities and location! The water was clear and clean, and the sand was white! You will never regret choosing this location!
