19. HURRICANE / STORM POLICY — No refunds will be given unless:
a. The National Weather Service orders mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and /or
b. A mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area of residence of a vacationing guest. The day that the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation order in a Tropical Storm/ Hurricane Warning area, Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals & Sales will refund:

i. Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered,
ii. Any unused portion of rent from a guest who is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten a stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted;
iii. Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period. If any Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals & Sales guests change their reservations in lieu of canceling, Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals & Sales will: |

— give them the three-night rate if they are currently registered and they shorten their stay to one or two nights;
— give them the weekly prorated rate it they are currently registered for a weekly or longer stay and shorten their stay to less than seven nights, but stay at least three nights; or
— allow a currently registered guest to change their reservation dates without penalty, provided they change to other dates at a Emerald Coast Vacation Rentals & Sales property within the same calendar year of the original
reservation. |
